After Treffos
The majority of pupils transfer to the local comprehensive schools Friars or David Hughes. A smaller number go to St Gerards and Rydal Penrhos.
Treffos pupils transfer well. Occasionally parents have concerns about moving from a small school to a big school. Treffos pupils have not found this problematic.
The first year in a secondary school is a massive melting pot and what is important is that when Treffos pupils are sifted and sorted into academic sets they are linked up with pupils who have a similar enthusiasm for work and a commitment to doing their very best.
It is the peer group at secondary school which exerts a tremendous pull on the pupil and which will enable pupils to build on their past achievements - that is why it is so important for pupils when they transfer to have levels of attainment that ensure that they are placed in the right sets.
